Jonathan Bailey’s influence
seems to inspire growth

Under the leadership of CEO and co-owner Jonathan Bailey, 37, the public relations and marketing firm of Bailey/Gardiner Creative Communications Inc. has in the past year doubled in size in both the number of employees and client billings.

Bailey works with a number of high-profile accounts, including Tiffany & Co., The Upper Deck Co., Sprint PCS, and Kaufman and Broad, to name a few. Since its 1995 founding, the firm has grown 600 percent to a projected $4.4 million in annual billings for fiscal 2000.

The incoming president of the San Diego Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, Bailey has taught at the University of California at San Diego and San Diego State University Extended Studies, and has served as board director for the Gaslamp Quarter Foundation. He also sits on the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation and San Diego AIDS Foundation boards, and is past president and a current board director for Mama’s Kitchen.

Bailey has received more than 50 awards for creativity in public relations, advertising and design during his career. He was named the 1999 PRSA Volunteer of the Year. He also was recognized by the society’s San Diego Chapter with three 1999 Mark of Excellence awards in the categories of One-Time Program, Corporate; Special Event Under $25,000; and One-Time Program, New Product Launch.
