Because her own life “has been very blessed,” attorney Kimberly A. Lenz tries to pass on those blessings in her interactions with others. That often means performing pro bono services for women and children in abusive settings. A 1993 graduate of California Western School of Law, Lenz worked initially for a federal defense lawyer and then with a patent attorney. She opened her own practice in San Diego in 1997. The oldest of six children, she was born in Las Vegas and lived in many different states before moving to San Diego. She attended junior and senior high in Point Loma, graduating from Point Loma High School. “I try to lead my life by example,” says Lenz, 33, explaining her interest in frequently helping women and children in her own community. She belongs to The Family of Women, an organization dedicated to changing the relationships between men and women. “I am a woman,” she says, “and children are our future.” |
