Working at Stock/Alper & Associates, a full-service marketing, advertising and public relations agency, since 1987, Mary Correia-Moreno was, in 1992, the first person in the agency’s history to be named vice president. The 37-year-old manages six major accounts in addition to handling agency operations, bookkeeping, media buying and placement, proposal negotiations, perception surveys and marketing plans. She maintains a careful balance between managing the agency and its 15 employees, and serving as a client/agency liaison and a member of the agency’s creative team. Correia-Moreno has expanded the agency from a traditional public relations firm to include strategic marketing services such as branding, market research and Web site development. Her knowledge of trends and ability to individualize services for clients helped Stock/Alper gain a respected reputation in the health care industry. Fund-raising for LEAD San Diego and volunteering with the Society of Healthcare Strategy & Market Development of the American Hospital Association are among her numerous commitments to community organizations. She won a YWCA TWIN award in 1999 and was mentioned in the 1997 “International Who’s Who of Professionals,” in addition to receiving several health care marketing awards. |
