“I always say and I mean it I have the best job at Sharp,” Fleury says. As a member of Sharp’s Executive Leadership Team, she participates in strategic initiatives to determine how to provide the best possible service to patients. It is a job she is proud to have. “I feel like I really help make a difference, not personally saving lives,” but in helping to provide that environment. Fleury graduated summa cum laude from San Diego State University with a degree in accounting. She belongs to the San Diego Imperial Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association and has served as its president. She is on the board for Sharp Health Plan, and the finance committee of the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center. She was appointed in 1992 by county supervisors to the 15-member San Diego Finance Review Panel of business executives in private industry to advise on financial practices and served until the panel’s work was completed in 1993. In 1992 and again in 1996, Fleury received the William G. Follmer Bronze Award and the Robert H. Reeves Silver Award respectively for outstanding service to the Healthcare Financial Management Association. When she isn’t working, Fleury enjoys family activities with her husband, Randy, and their children ages 7 and 5. She likes to play golf and snow ski.
