Bridget Palitz’ job is to keep clients satisfied. As director of client services for the San Diego headquarters of The McRae Agency, a public relations firm, she is the main contact for each of the agency’s accounts. That means “the buck stops with her when it comes to keeping each client happy,” says her colleague Celeste Pattee.

Palitz joined the firm right out of UCSD, where she earned a writing degree. When principal Elizabeth McRae Smith opened a branch office in San Francisco, she left 26-year-old Palitz in charge of the San Diego office. Palitz, now 29, oversees a three-woman staff.

The agency specializes in consumer products, real estate and technology accounts, and numbers Solatube International Inc. of Vista and KB Home among its clients.

Palitz is good at what she does, as evidenced by the 21 awards she has won for her public relations work in her seven-year career.

Palitz also promotes volunteerism among public relations professionals. She chairs the Public Service Committee of the local Public Relations Society of America/San Diego chapter. This committee matches public relations professionals, working on a pro bono basis, with nonprofits in need of marketing assistance. She is co-founder/co-chair of a marketing communications committee for Habitat for Humanity.

Married a year ago, Palitz and her husband, Jeff, have just returned from a trip to her ancestral home in Ireland. In her spare time she goes antique shopping and plays with her two cats, which sometimes can be seen running around the office.
