TRIBUTE TO WOMEN AND INDUSTRY (TWIN)
NOMINATION FORM

TWIN, an acronym for Tribute to Women and Industry, is a national YWCA program, the purposes of which are:

To honor women who have made a significant contribution to industry in managerial, executive or professional roles

To honor those firms that have provided opportunities for women to achieve their potential

To encourage women of all ages to consider and prepare for a wider range of career opportunities in business and industry

To raise funds to support YWCA programs and services

TWIN SAN DIEGO

TWIN was initiated in June 1980 and has since become the premier businesswomen's recognition event in San Diego County. TWIN consists of an awards luncheon and a reception for honorees and their chief executive officers.

The luncheon spotlights women who are honored by their firms' executives, co-workers, families and friends. Employers receive special recognition for their leadership role in providing advancement opportunities for women in the workplace.

In the past twenty-two years, TWIN has paid tribute to 1,945 outstanding women, and has raised more than $1.4 million to support YWCA programs. More than 800 San Diego business leaders attended the 2001 awards luncheon.

NOMINATION CRITERIA
You are invited to nominate a woman to be considered for selection of the 2002 TWIN Award. Successful candidates will meet the following criteria:

Nominee must occupy a management, executive or professional position with responsibility for a major component of your organization or a position traditionally held by men within your organization.
Nominee must have made an outstanding achievement within your organization, exceeding the normal scope of her position.
Nominee and your company must agree to provide job description, career information, company profile, photograph (to be taken by TWIN photographer), references (where requested), and supporting documents for selection and inclusion in the TWIN Souvenir Booklet.
A candidate can only be nominated once by the same organization.

The TWIN selection committee will review each nomination. You will be notified in February whether or not your nominee has been selected as a 2002 TWIN Honoree.

LUNCHEON COST
$5,000 – Executive Club
$1,500 – Table Sponsor
$150 – Single Seats (minimum 2 seats)
A table sponsorship form will be faxed to you once your nomination is received.
