New Encinitas Publication Comes In With The Tide Unity The Theme Of St. Patrick’s Parade Entrepreneur Academy Workshops Set To Begin March 14

So Many Beautiful Minds Jazz Performances To Benefit Children’s Initiative

The Entrepreneur Academy, a series of seven workshops for southeastern San Diego business owners, key executives and aspiring business owners, will begin March 14 with “The Basic Building Blocks.”

Sessions will be weekly on Thursdays except for the last meeting, which will be a Friday. Hours are from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Southeast Cultural Arts Center, 4120 Alpha St., San Diego. The workshops are free.

The first meeting will cover business basics from location to merchandising. The series will continue on the following dates:

• March 21, “Putting the Information Age to Work For You,” on how to assess a company’s information needs.
• March 28, “Telephone Skills/Customer Service,” on how to polish telephone skills.
• April 4, “Manage Your Finances,” on how to approach a lender and use the Small Business Owners 10-minute checklist.
• April 11, “Don’t Get Caught With Your Prices Down” on pricing strategies.
• April 18, “Gaining Customers from Emerging Markets in Your Own Backyard” on how to create a “must have” product.
• April 26, “Develop Your Strategic (Business) Plan” on using information presented in previous workshops.
