It is once again San Diego Metropolitan’s privilege to present 40 of San Diego’s brightest and most accomplished men and women from throughout the county. As with previous years, these young professionals, executives, entrepreneurs and civic leaders impressed us and our independent judges John G. Davies, regent, University of California, of counsel at Allen Matkins Leck Gamble & Mallory; Randa Trapp, counsel, Sempra Energy; Abigail Barrow, director, UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering; Richard Cloward, executive director, San Diego Port Tenants Association; Cathryn Ramirez, vice president, Tiffany & Co.; Scott Barnett, president, Lincoln Club of San Diego; and Sandy Ehrlich, Qualcomm executive director of entrepreneurship, SDSU Entrepreneurial Management Center. This year’s selections are every bit as noteworthy as the their predecessors is this recognition, reflecting a degree of compassion and concern for others. At the same time, they represent a dedication to preserving the quality of life San Diegans have come to enjoy. No doubt about it, with these folks in charge, San Diego is in good hands for the future. |
