Roger McTighe, senior v.p of military relations and community development for North Island Financial Credit Union, was recognized as an outstanding veteran and community supporter by the Veterans Memorial Center and Museum.

Kari M. Desgalier, senior counsel in the law office of Allen Matkins Leck Gamble & Mallory LLP, was appointed to the board of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, San Diego chapter.

Senior level intellectual property attorneys Barry Soalt and Kathleen Pasulka were hired by Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch. Both attorneys were with Brown Martin Haller & McClain.

Jeff Howard joined CityWorks, an urban planning firm, as project manager. He most recently prepared the South Bay Transit First Study for Sandag.

Brandi Mulvey joined CommonWealth Partners, an office landlord, as leasing associate for the San Diego portfolio. She most recently worked for Arden Realty.

Additions to the CB Richard Ellis San Diego office are Joel Mayne, v.p., institutional office properties, and Dixie Hall, first v.p., multi-housing properties. Mayne formerly headed leasing programs for a number of developers including Catellus. Hall was founder and CEO of an internet firm.

The Crosby at Rancho Santa Fe, a $700 million private residential and golf community, hired John Lefferdink of Prudential California Realty to head up custom lot sales. Lefferdink, a Prudential Chairman’s Circle honoree, has more than 25 years in residential and commercial real estate in North County.

Marco A. Sessa was appointed v.p. of development at Sudberry Properties Inc. He will manage development of Quarry Falls in Mission Valley. He has more than eight years of experience.

Frederick Schenk, a senior partner with Casey Gerry Reed & Schenk, was named board secretary of the Civil Justice Foundation, a Washington, D.C.,-based nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing consumer injury and defending consumer access to justice.

Cynthia Monaco, an 18-year veteran of residential real estate and marketing, was named sales and marketing manager for Barratt Urban Development. She was v.p. of sales and marketing for Davidson Communities.

The Palomar Pomerado Health board added Bruce Krider to replace George Gigliotti.

Littler Mendelson, a labor and employment law firm, hired associate Lena Sims in its San Diego office. Prior to joining the firm, Sims served as a federal law clerk for judge Napoleon A. Jones Jr. and Nita L. Stormes.

Janelle Walton joined Cavignac & Associates, a commercial insurance brokerage firm, as an account manager for employee benefits. For the past year and a half she was office manager for Auerbach & Gussin.

G. Scott Williams joined the law firm of Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek. His practice focuses on environmental and commercial litigation. Williams was a senior attorney for the United States Department of Justice, Environmental Defense Section of the Environmental and Natural Resources Division, in Washington.

Rich Roncaglia, managing director for the private client group at U.S. Bank, was re-elected president of the San Diego Natural History Museum. That position makes him CEO of the Society of Natural History.

Todd Poulsen, former Los Angeles Clippers director of sales, joined the San Diego Chargers as the senior director of ticket sales. Before his five years with the Clippers, he was with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

ProjectDesign Consultants hired Jim LoPresti as marketing director. He has 30 years of marketing and business development experience, most recently with Imperial Bank.

Naveen Jethwani was hired by San Diego National Bank as a Small Business Administration lender in North County. He most recently was with Comerica Bank in Las Vegas.

Elizabeth Bachmann, of ConAm Management was installed as president of the San Diego Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management, replacing Cherrie Giles of Wells Fargo Bank. Chapter members Victoria Nabarette of CB Richard Ellis, Vike Ovanessoff of Oscal Inc. and Mike VandenBergh of Deloitte & Touche were awarded the designation of certified property manager. Key awards for outstanding contributions to the chapter were given to Carolyn Perrigo, Transwestern Commercial; Nancy Eagle, RREEF; Jack Renshaw of NewWay Landscape & Tree Services; and Diane Miller, Innovative Staffing Solutions.

Invitrogen Corp. appointed Joseph Rodriguez senior v.p. of human resources. Rodriguez has more than 15 years of experience in global human resources management.

Lacey Shepard joined the Benedetto Communications government affairs team as account executive. She most recently worked at the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce as a public policy coordinator.

Paul Downey was elected president of the Southern California Elderly Nutrition Partnership to raise awareness and increase funding for elderly nutrition programs. Downey became part of the coalition as president and CEO of Senior Community Centers.

Huy Nguyen was elected a v.p. of IronStone Bank where he was hired as a business banker. Nguyen is based in the Genesee Avenue office.

Linda Hunt Mullany, a health law attorney, has left the firm she co-founded in 1999 to join Gordon & Rees. Attorney Karen M. Stuckey, paralegal Vicki Ohlson and Terri Vitale, RN and certified legal nurse consultant, also joined Gordon & Rees with Mullany.

Rosalind Gibson joined gourmet coffee purveyor Earthblend Ltd. as director of wholesale operations. The company recently gained a contract to serve coffee at 120 Souplantation restaurants.

Martha Jazo-Bajet, community and preventive health services manager for Community Health Group, was named to join the state’s Healthy Families Program Advisory Panel. She is a registered nurse and master of public health with more than 20 years of experience.

Vincent J. Iaria was named chief probation officer by San Diego County supervisors. Iaria is director of the Suffolk County, N.Y., probation department where he has worked for 31 years, 12 as head of the department. He will replace Alan Crogan, who retired in July.

Kreiss Johnson Technologies appointed Tim Shaw v.p. of sales, responsible for global sales efforts. Shaw has more than 27 years in substation, process automation and related technologies.

Marc Perrault joined Tucker Sadler Noble Castro Architects as job captain. Perrault has 26 years of experience in architectural design. Hamilton Harwood was hired as a project manager. His 17 years of experience include jobs with Krommenhoek/McKeown and Noble Design, both in San Diego. Kristin Donour also is new at the firm as an intern designer.

Andy La Dow, an office building specialist, joined BRE Commercial. For the past seven years, he has been a senior v.p. of Irving Hughes. He began his real estate career with CB Richard Ellis in 1984.

Tracy Wallace was appointed wine director for the La Mesa branch of Beverages and More.

Amylin Pharmaceuticals appointed Michael Hanley as v.p. of discovery research. He has served on the Amylin board since 1992 and for the past six months has been senior scientific adviser to the company.

Dan Stoddard was installed as president of the San Diego chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. He has owned and operated Dan Stoddard Design Associates for 12 years, and he teaches at Design Institute San Diego. Carol Spong is president-elect, and Judy Hallberg is past president.

Michael Pursglove was promoted to area manager of D.R. Horton Homes, Western Pacific Housing, San Diego Division. He will oversee construction sites in South San Diego County.

The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center Foundation added Laurie Sanderson as senior development coordinator and Kendra Lee as development coordinator. Both have experience with nonprofit organizations.

Appointed to the board of the California Center for the Arts in Escondido were Elizabeth Pinter and Marie Verger. Pinter previously served on the board, is a founder of the center and an active participant in center programs. Verger has more than 20 years in bookkeeping, accounting and management experience.

The Metropolitan Transit System board named Paul C. Jablonski CEO and general manager. He was previously CEO and general manager of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority in Cincinnati. San Diego Trolley appointed E. Wayne Terry as v.p. of operations. Terry, a 23-year San Diego Trolley employee, has been Interim v.p. of operations since March. San Diego Transit, another operator in MTS, appointed Claire Elizabeth Spielberg as v.p. of maintenance. Spielberg has more than a decade of transportation experience, including program management and development.

Jacqueline Townsend Konstanturos, president and CEO of Townsend Inc., was named PR Leader of the Year at the teleFUSION awards recognizing San Diego’s leaders in the telecommunications industry and hosted by T-Sector.

Sonya Ouansesysouk, has joined the metro office of Keller Williams Realty.

Tessa Mcrae was promoted to v.p. at SCS Engineers. She has been with the company since 2000 as senior project geologist.
