Marco Thompson has moved up to the cushier chair’s slot at the San Diego Telecom Council, leaving Martha G. Dennis as new president. Dennis, a partner with Windward Ventures, knows the organization well. In November 1998 she shared this magazine’s cover along with Vicki Marion in a feature announcing the council’s formation. The hard-charging Thompson has led the group for the past two years and plans to stay actively involved.

Other board officers for 2003 include Jeffrey Belk, senior v.p. of marketing for Qualcomm, as v.p. of marketing and programs; Lindsey Burroughs, v.p./g.m. for Cox Business Services, as v.p. of special projects; Patti Lazard, KPMG’s business development director, as v.p. of membership; and Cathy Pucher, director of Americas wireless communication sales for Texas Instruments, as v.p. of outreach.

In addition, the new treasurer is Lance Bridges of Cooley Godward and the secretary is Kevin Cahill from Luce Forward Hamilton & Scripps.
