La Jolla Village Towers, another residence by Hyatt, has unveiled a master plan for a second tower on its existing Costa Verde Boulevard property.

Plans for the $100 million, 360,000-square-foot expansion call for multiple restaurant venues, a state-of-the-art fitness center, expanded wellness program and community rooms, as well as about 180 independent living apartments ranging from 1,150 to 2,500 square feet.

The project is taking $1,000 reservations. Entrance fees will be about $384,000 and monthly charges $3,100 for a 1,150-square-foot apartment. The project will break ground later this year and open in 2006.
