Attorney Janice Brown has formed Brown Law Group, a business and employment litigation firm located at 600 B St. in Downtown. Brown, who was just honored with the Bernard E. Witkin Award for civic leadership and excellence in the teaching, practice, enactment or adjudication of the law, has credentials that include working nearly 20 years as a trial lawyer with trial, arbitration and appellate experience. She is known for her ability to assist clients in preventing lawsuits through thorough internal investigations and management training.

Brown received her undergraduate degree in journalism and graduated with honors from the University of Montana in 1981. She graduated from Gonzaga Law School two years later, and joined the Justice Department’s Honors Program in 1984.

Working with Brown in her law group are associates Shana Sechrist, Stacy Fode and Laura Roppé. Stella Neuman is paralegal/litigation manager, and Janell Chavez is paralegal/legal assistant.
