Standard Pacific Homes will serve as managing partner for the development of Black Mountain Ranch, a master-planned community located east of Fairbanks Ranch in the city of San Diego. The builder has joined with partners Black Mountain Ranch LP, owned by St. Paul Properties Inc., and Institutional Housing Partners, to develop the community. Within the 1,240-acre community, about 480 acres will be preserved as open space. More than 3,000 homes are planned, including custom home sites, townhomes, senior housing, duplexes, luxury and courtyard style. Three schools ranging from elementary to high school are planned. “The natural beauty of the topography linked with scenic bridges and a thoughtful land plan will make Black Mountain Ranch a very special place to live,” says Brian Utsler, division manager for Standard Pacific. “We look forward to working with the other partners in developing what will soon be a spectacular community in San Diego.” New-home construction is expected to start in early 2005.
