A Breathless Voicemail From Our Intrepid Reporter, Kay Wagner:

“I knew you wouldn’t be there. It’s 8:45 at night and I just got out of a Town Hall meeting and Peter Q. Davis said loud and clear that CCDC should make us a loan, long-term easy-to-pay-back loan, and get the museum built. And he was very adamant about it and he spoke up and Scott Peters said the same thing and reinforced it: ‘That’s exactly what should be done. They have the money!’

“I’m kind of upbeat about it because at the meeting, people cheered when they suggested that the Children’s Museum should be funded and CCDC should do it. There was loud cheering! This was mostly a mid-town group of people at the meeting. He said he’s talked with Jason Hughes about it and Jason Hughes understands it and thinks that would be a good way to go.

“I don’t know if anything can be done about it by Monday probably. He said you should know about it. I’m rambling. Sorry. Good night. Sorry.”
