It’s a banner year for the San Diego District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration. This year, SBA celebrates 52 years and the San Diego District marks 25 years of co-hosting the Small Business Awards Luncheon with the San Diego’s Regional Chamber of Commerce.
“Small business is the backbone of the nation’s economy and in particular of San Diego’s economy,” says George Chandler, San Diego SBA district director. “Small business truly is where America works and these small business owners and advocates deserve recognition for their achievements.”
Eleven SBA awards will be presented at the luncheon. Additional awards will be given to small business contractors and subcontractors of the year as well as those given by the San Diego Business Improvement District.
The award luncheon is set for May 19 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the San Diego Marriott Hotel. Individual tickets cost $65, while a table of 10 costs $600. A Business Exchange and Showcase Tabletop Exhibit runs from 9 to 11 a.m. The cost to participate is $250.
