San Diego Directors Forum will honor six executives with Director of the Year awards at a March 1 dinner and program at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. The awards are for outstanding performance in the boardroom and behind the scenes.

Director of the year tributes will go to William Jones, Sempra Energy, for corporate governance; Joseph Cook, Amylin Pharmaceuticals, for enhancement of economic value; Rodney N. Lanthorne, Kyocera International, corporate citizenship; John H. Warner Jr., SAIC, companies in transition; and Chris Van Gorder, Scripps Health, nonprofit. Ernest Rady, founder of American Assets Inc., will be recognized for Lifetime of Achievement in Corporate Governance.
