It’s time for SAM. The Sales and Marketing Council of the Building Industry Association of San Diego County will play it again with a Motown theme for the Oct. 7 event that honors achievements in the residential industry.
SAM stands for sales, advertising and merchandising the pillars of new home marketing. The awards recognize creative marketing programs, inventive home designs and notable contributions to local home building.
Entries are due by noon Aug. 4 from BIA members for projects sold in San Diego County and southern Riverside County between Jan. 1, 2005, and the entry due date. The BIA will hold a free class on submitting entries from 10 a.m. to noon June 15 at its office, 9201 Spectrum Center Blvd., Suite 110, in Kearny Mesa.
Winners will be announced at the SAM gala at the San Diego Marriott & Marina. Tickets are $150-$170. The Awards sponsor is K. Hovnanian. The SAM chairwoman is Liz Barela-Ramirez, v.p. of marketing for the Corky McMillin Cos.
