Carlsbad-based ViaSat Inc. has closed out its fiscal 2006, its best in 20 years of operations, producing records in all metric-orders, revenue and profit. Orders hit $443.7 million, revenue $433.8 million and profit $23.5 million.
The biggest business boost came in the commercial sector where ViaSat’s enterprise VSAT networks and consumer broadband products generated 29.4 percent revenue growth. The government segment recorded a 20.1 percent increase in revenue over 2005 due to sales of tactical data links, and networking and information assurance products.
