Producer Becomes
A Matchmaker

Brandi Turner pairs up not sweethearts,
but employers and employees

Matching prospective employees to appropriate jobs has become an exciting career for Brandi Turner, 31, a managing producer for JobingTV and Jobing.com.

The firm produces a television program and maintains a Website in San Diego — and several other communities — that gives viewers a look inside a company. Job seekers here can watch the program at 6 p.m. Sundays on Channel 4, and then view it again, along with other program segments at Jobing.com.

Her job is behind-the-scenes, she says, helping companies to tell their stories. Hosting the show is Misha Di Bono, formerly with KUSI.

“We go right inside the company,” Turner says. “We place from entry to executive level. We make sure it’s a real job,” not a scam. Viewers interested in a job can apply online. Jobing.com was founded in 1991; the television program started in February this year.

A graduate of Pepperdine University, Turner has a background in advertising. Her previous job was as manager for strategic initiatives for the San Diego Workforce Partnership.

When she isn’t working, Turner and her pilot husband, Wes, “jump in a plane and fly away for an adventure.” They live in Pt. Loma with Klaus, their German shorthair puppy and enjoy beach outings with their friends.

Turner participates in fund-raisers for breast cancer awareness. Her interest in cancer efforts was heightened when one of her colleagues survived breast cancer.
