Sierra Wireless is shipping this month its latest in a long line of AirCard PC Cards, which will enable users to send wireless data at speeds up to 3.6 Mbps. Sierra Wireless’ AirCard 875 and AirCard 595 offer secure Internet access and high-speed wireless connectivity in more places than Wi-Fi.

In other news, Sierra has invested in two Satimo Stargate 64RF testing and design chambers, one in Carlsbad and the other at the company’s facility in Richmond, Va. The chamber is an antenna measurement operation used to reduce production and testing cost. The system measures radiation patterns, gain and antenna efficiency in free-space conditions or with surrogate or live human test subjects.
