Boost Mobile is offering a new, unlimited local and nationwide calling service to San Diego residents for a fixed monthly price starting at $55. Boost describes itself as a “lifestyle-based telecommunications brand” and a wholly owned division of Sprint Nextel. The Unlimited By Boost service requires no contracts, credit checks or activation fees. The home calling area offered under the plan extends from the Mexican border to San Simeon/Paso Robles in central California and from the coast to Primm, Nev., Needles, Calif., and Quartzsite, Ariz. Services included in the fee are voicemail, wireless Web, caller ID, call waiting and three-way calling.
