A Wireless iPod System
Projects Booming Base

Sorrento Valley-based IntelliTouch has begun distributing its new Eos, a wireless speaker system for the iPod that promises to deliver CD quality sound to up to four stereo wireless speakers located up to 150 feet away.

The company says its GigaWave technology employs error correction and a unique frequency-hopping scheme to ensure a good range. The outdoors range can exceed 300 feet.

More information about the systems, which start at $299 for a base station/speaker combo and a remote speaker, is available at eoswireless.com. Systems can be purchased there or at Sharper Image.
