Shop Talk with Richard Dickerson

What are your hobbies or relaxations?

Playing the piano, collecting classical music CDs, golf, and skiing.

Did you ever have a mentor and what did he/she teach you?

My greatest mentor was my father who was an executive in the petroleum industry. From him I learned the value of hard work, integrity and service to others.

Five years from now, community banks will…

…continue to play a vital role in the finance community, particularly related to small and intermediate size businesses. There will always be a need for customer-driven community banks whose guiding principles include building and maintaining relationships; one-on-one; face-to-face; first-name, personalized approach to banking.

What keeps you up at night?

I sleep really well at night.
