Since joining Manpower of San Diego, originally as a project manager and now as business development manager, Trevor Blair, 31, has successfully launched a Web-based candidate application system, reduced payroll expenses through the use of direct deposit to 3,000 candidates weekly and assisted with the rollout of a $300,000 training contract to a Fortune 500 medical devices company. His achievements are due to merit and training more than the fact he is the son of Phil Blair, the cofounder and executive officer of the job placement company.
The younger Blair began his career with Manpower in Australia, obtaining across-the-board experience in recruitment, sales and research, project management and business analysis. A graduate of LEAD San Diegos class of 2007, Blair takes seriously the commitments to profession and community espoused by Manpower and his family.
Hes on the San Diego Workforce Partnerships Workforce Investment Board, is an adviser to the Local Initiative Support Corp. of San Diego and chairs the advisory board to the Career Services department of the San Diego Community College Districts Continuing Education program yet still finds time to enter international triathlons and Ironman competitions.
