‘Sixty for Success’ awards commemorate Junior Achievement’s 60 years in San Diego San Diego Metropolitan to Sponsor VIP Reception on June 8

To commemorate its 60th anniversary, Junior Achievement of San Diego and Imperial Counties is looking to honor 60 individuals who have made an impact in the region through business, community and philanthropic efforts.
The organization seeks to select individuals who best illustrate the organization’s values of entrepreneurship, financial responsibility, leadership and community involvement, and have experienced Junior Achievement programs as a student at some point in their K-12 education.
Those selected will be honored at a “Sixty for Success” Awards VIP reception at the University Club in Downtown San Diego on June 8, sponsored by San Diego Metropolitan Magazineand the University club, will be featured in the June issue of the magazine.
“Since 1950, our organization has taught more than 500,000 local students how to work hard, manage their money and become better community citizens,” said Joanne Pastula, president and CEO of Junior Achievement of San Diego and Imperial Counties.  “We’ve heard so many local success stories, it’s time to honor those who have gone through JA programs — here or around the world — who have made such a positive impact on our community.”
