Gas prices around SD County rise for 12th straight day

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose for the 12th consecutive day Sunday, increasing 1.8 cents to $5.792.
The average price has risen 11 cents over the past 12 days, including 1.8 cents Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 6.8 cents more than one week ago, 6.1 cents more than one month ago and $1.108 more than one year ago.
The average price has increased $1.106 since the start of the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, which sent oil prices higher and drastically accelerated increases at the gas pump.

Reporter Lisa Halverstadt revealed in a new story that a county nursing facility has been plagued by racism, harassment allegations and sex tapes.
Separately, a county employee in the behavioral health department was investigated for making a racist comment during an online training session. Investigators concluded that the employee did do it, and county leaders later promoted the employee.
