Developer of PB mega-ADU project has redesigned the proposal in hopes of winning community support

The owner and developer of a massive proposed ADU project in Pacific Beach, known as Chalcifica, has released new plans for the two parcels, plans the developer hopes residents will embrace.
The new proposal comes as Chlacifica’s owner — Infill Innovation, formerly SDRE — is stuck in a legal battle with a resident group over the company’s old plans to build a 136-unit ADU project on two parcels located at Pacifica Drive and Chalcedony Street in PB.
“Our goal is to move forward with a project that adds much-needed attainable housing units in Pacific Beach while addressing concerns so everyone can benefit,” Infill Innovation CEO Brian Doyle told Times of San Diego.

The Music Company (TMC), a San Diego nonprofit supporting the city’s music scene through affordable studio spaces, content creation, mentorship programs and more, has elected new officers to its Board of Directors. The new officers broaden the nonprofit’s industry expertise and support TMC’s mission to help aspiring musicians and music professionals gain the skills, experience, and industry connections needed to build lasting careers. As the organization continues to grow its impact throughout the region, TMC is also seeking additional board members who are passionate about supporting San Diego’s music community and helping guide the nonprofit’s future.
By welcoming these new members, TMC is positioned to deepen community partnerships, broaden opportunities for musicians, and secure its role as a vital resource for San Diego’s creative ecosystem in the future. The organization’s ongoing board recruitment efforts will further strengthen its leadership network, bringing together professionals from music, higher education, entertainment law, business, marketing, and related industries. Furthermore, with former board members staying engaged as mentors, this newly formed leadership team brings enhanced prospects to both current and upcoming TMC clients.

Board Chairperson | Dr. Eric Starr
Dr. Eric Starr is a performer, educator, and music entrepreneur whose work spans higher education, performance, and nonprofit leadership. He serves on the faculty at San Diego State University, where he teaches trombone and euphonium, directs brass chamber music, advises the Music, Entrepreneurship and Business degree program, and serves as faculty advisor to the Aztec Music Group. He has been recognized as SDSU’s “Most Influential Faculty” three times. Starr brings a deep understanding of music education, artist development, and community engagement to his role as Board Chair.
Secretary | Haley B. McCullough, J.D.
Haley McCullough is an entertainment attorney specializing in music publishing, media, intellectual property, and entertainment law. As an Associate Attorney at peermusic, the world’s largest independent music publisher, she works with artists, songwriters, and rights holders on publishing agreements and legal matters affecting the music business. Her experience strengthens TMC’s connection to the industry’s business and legal side while supporting the organization’s governance and long-term growth.
Treasurer | Naomi Hamels
Naomi Hamels is Vice President of Marketing at Altium, where she leads global marketing initiatives and works across executive, product, sales, and creative teams. Her background also includes finance and business strategy, giving her experience in both organizational growth and financial planning. Hamels brings valuable perspective in strategic planning, financial stewardship, and communications as TMC continues to expand its programs and community partnerships.
Director |Jameson Yingling
Jameson Yingling is a documentary filmmaker, educator, and founder of Existential Co. He previously co-founded Sugarshack Media, helping build one of the country’s leading independent live music platforms, and now serves as Artist-in-Residence and Co-Director of the ROCK of Ages program at Florida Gulf Coast University. His experience in storytelling, filmmaking, and education will help TMC continue growing its original productions and sharing the stories of San Diego’s music community.
Directors | Patricio Pickslay
Patricio Pickslay is President of Pacific Records and an award-winning producer, songwriter, composer, educator, and music executive. For nearly three decades, he has worked with artists across multiple genres while producing music for records, film, and television. He brings extensive experience in recording, production, artist development, and the music business, helping ensure TMC’s programs remain connected to the realities of today’s industry.
Directors | Randall Jones
Randall Jones is an internationally recognized DJ, producer, and founder of Mynt Music. His career has taken him to clubs and festivals around the world, while his music has appeared on television, in advertising, and on leading electronic music labels. His experience as an independent artist and entrepreneur brings an important perspective as TMC continues to support producers, DJs, and electronic musicians alongside artists working across every genre.
The Music Company is continuing to grow and welcomes others who want to be part of its mission.
